Charming and full of character, but the toilet seat was broken and the rooms could have been a bit cleaner.

The town was amazing and the cottage’s spot was spot on, plus the breakfast bread was gorgeous. The cottage didn’t match the photos, and the stairs were a challenge for older or bigger folks; we couldn’t lift our bags up, so we left them downstairs, which made moving around tough. We managed, kept a laugh, and still enjoyed the scenery.

The place was decked out with a bunch of quirky items from a flea market, so it’s hard to judge. It’s great for a trip to Monet’s gardens, but it feels a bit dirty despite the original vibe.

It’s in a nice town, but the cleanliness is terrible and the photos on the website are nothing like reality; for a quirky place it’s truly unusual, especially when you’re not expecting it.

The bed was big and comfy, and the cooker, microwave, coffee machine, and fridge were all fine, though everything could be a bit smarter; the basics are solid. There was no internet, no car park, it felt a little too rustic, and there were not enough sockets, teaspoons, and the breakfast was limited.
