The spot is great and the staff were always ready to help. Apart from that everything was fine, but we did lose power for about two hours and there was no backup generator. It was a bit inconvenient, but the location made up for it.

Everything was spot on – clean rooms, friendly service and everything worked as expected. I didn’t run into any problems, so I’d happily stay there again.

Kinshasa is pricey, so finding this place was a relief; it’s the cheapest option I could locate, though you have to accept a few compromises. The hotel sits in a fairly central part of a dirty neighborhood, reachable only by dirt roads, yet I felt safe among the locals. The rooms are basic and a bit dated, the AC works when there’s electricity, but outages of power and water happen, and mosquitoes can keep you up at night.

There wasn’t much to praise, but the biggest issue was the lack of electricity during the day; power was only supplied at night via a generator. That made it hard to do anything after dark.
