Dinner and breakfast were satisfying. It’s not in a busy area, so it’s quiet, and water and towels are plentiful, making it perfect for a staycation! The hot spring bath is also spacious.

The suite was gorgeous and the second bath on the terrace was unexpected. We were hit with a water tax of 32€ at check‑in that we had never been warned about. A front desk person didn’t speak any English, and a dinner cost 32€ per person; we couldn’t get the menu in advance because the front desk staff didn’t know.

The facilities were clean and well kept, but the staff’s attitude was terrible.

The décor, the view, the pool, and the photo spots were great – the hotel was tucked away in the mountains, far from the bustle! But there was no reception at 19:00, no way to call them, the phone number didn’t work, and there was no free‑call package. Luckily the next door hotel was super helpful, calling on my behalf and arranging our breakfasts for the next day!

From the entrance, the outdoor photo zone and relaxation area were nicely arranged, giving a very good first impression – the staff at check‑in were friendly and clear, so there were no inconveniences. The Hinoki‑tang room was spacious with a mountain view outside, truly healing. The bed was very soft and the bedding was tidy and well organized. We ordered dinner room service (shabu‑gohan, sashimi, etc.) and paid on site; the menu was rich and the portions were ample. We even got to experience traditional Ryokan culture with a yukata, which added to the satisfaction. I’m truly refreshed and definitely want to come back next time.
