The futon was fluffy. The check‑in time was flexible, and I appreciated the accommodating response. But the female dorm had no curtain, the mixed dorm also had almost no curtain, so the light was too bright at night and I couldn’t use the lamp. I usually stay in dorms that have curtains that close with a magnet or rope to minimize gaps; here there was no privacy at all. Even the door to the female dorm didn’t close properly, so my clothes were visible. The lighting was insufficient, so I had to move around in dim light to change clothes. The curtain magnets are sold at dollar stores, and the curtain rails can be bought on Amazon for same‑day delivery. I felt the management was neglecting basic responsibilities. The guesthouse is run by one person, which is tough, but curtain installation is available for anyone to do. The lack of curtains was a unique hardship. The operation was also dysfunctional – there was no bed number guide, no room map, and the female dorm’s location was almost impossible to locate. Additionally, there was no bed number sign, so when I opened my curtain to find my luggage, someone else was already sleeping. I apologized for opening it later. I had to find my luggage in the dark, and because there was no curtain, lighting would glare on others, so I couldn’t turn on the room light at night. I had to use a flashlight to find an empty bed and move my belongings, making the guesthouse experience a lesson in the value of curtains. Cleaning the room alone is hard, but curtains are a minimum requirement; future guests should understand and accept this.

The accommodation was very cozy, and the owner was extremely friendly, enjoying chatting with guests and caring about their travel happiness. The hotel’s location was very close to the station – about a 5‑10 minute walk – highly recommended.

“It's cheap, but you get what you pay for.”

The only positives were the short walk to the station and the free cold tea. My main complaint is the lack of privacy and security: each “room” is just a section of a large main room divided by curtains, with no locks. The front door doesn’t lock, and each bunk lacks its own curtain. As a result, people stayed awake and chatted loudly in the lounge until late, and the only barrier to the bed was a curtain. When I first arrived, no one was there to check me in – I had to call a number to get staff to come.
