The view from the hill and the room was great, but food service was very slow and one light in the room didn’t work.

The staff were very friendly, yet the resort feels worn out—probably post‑COVID. They do their best, but there are almost no other guests. There were a lot of rats in the cottages; switching rooms helped a little. We were the only ones staying, so the menu was limited to basics like fries, rice, and fried bananas. Breakfast consisted of toast, watermelon, and a fried egg.

Four Berliners stayed two nights at Narwastu Hills. The resort had four single cabins with double beds and air‑conditioning, plus an extra single bed in the upper area. The cabins were a bit old and needed repairs. The bathroom wasn’t clean, though hot water was available for showers. Only one blanket was provided. Water dispensers and satellite TV were in the rooms. Breakfast wasn’t a buffet; we were asked the night before what we wanted, with four options: toast, omelette, noodles, etc. We ordered an omelette, but the next morning we only received an omelette with fries and a glass of O‑juice; nothing else was offered. The staff were friendly and one could speak good English. One bungalow had to be swapped because rats made loud noises in the roof at night. In the outdoor restaurant area, rats roamed at night. In my cabin, rat droppings leaked from a wall panel that urgently needs fixing. The view of Tomohon and Lokon is unique, and the garden layout is well designed with great photo spots.

It’s been a blessing. The staff are really kind and helpful, making you feel at home instantly. They give great recommendations for Tomohon and attend to every need. The location is stunning, the view is amazing, the garden is beautiful, and the houses are very comfortable, cozy, and clean. The food is great too—just a perfect place to rest and explore. The shower didn’t have much warm water; it turned cold after a short time, which can be challenging at times but wasn’t a big problem for us.
