“Hotel sul Reno nel cuore di Basilea”
The view is on the reindeer. For a double room the bed could be a bit wider.
“The location was ok but this is overpriced for room value unless it is a view of the river.”
The bathroom and shower were very nice, yet the junior suite with city view was not worth over 500, offering only a view of nearby rooftops; the bed was too low to the floor, and breakfast lacked hot food options.

The room was spacious, but the construction outside was a nuisance.

The location was excellent, the staff were very helpful and friendly, the breakfast featured very good products, the bed was very comfortable, and parking at Claramatte was convenient with a CHF 30 package for the stay (provided the car stayed on site) paid directly at the hotel, while the rest of the time public transport was free (tickets issued at reception). The bathroom was tiny, missing hooks and only had a bar that could hold two large towels; there was no place to hang small towels, making it impossible to store two toiletry kits in such a small space, and drying other bath towels or swimwear was difficult, for example after a swim in the Rhine. The rest was perfect.
