It was quiet and clean. We were very disappointed with the staff service and the facilities they offered. We asked for toilet tissues and Wi‑Fi passwords but no one answered, not even an apology for the delayed reply.
Decent size room, little fridge, modern bathroom, TV with Freeview. Had to call the phone number to be let in , after a 5 minute call between the housekeeper and the manager/owner we were given a room and some keys, communication/ check in could of been much easier, although the bathroom and bedroom looked to have been cleaned, the shower grout was black with mould and behind the shower door and the silver metal cable from the wall to the shower head were all covered in thick black mould, the bathroom walls could of done with a good clean, the toilet and sink were clean, the bedding was clean and fresh, but lots of bits( crayons, sweet wrappers, food packaging) behind the bedside cabinets and under the bed.no blind in the bedroom it was broken when we arrived
The staff were friendly and the hotel met basic standards, but I couldn’t shower because the tray was blocked—a common issue with the shower trays they use.
“Accommodation with access challenges”
It was affordable. The place was boarded up when we arrived. Eventually the guy in the take‑out next door called the owner who let us in. We were racing against the clock to catch a concert, so this added a lot of stress. The owner sent us an SMS, but we only got it much later. They really should answer their phone or leave clear instructions or invest in a key lockbox.
“Rooms were vile and location is dodgy”
At the price it’s a place to stay, but beyond that there aren’t many positives; the location was awful, and two young girls felt uneasy walking around day and night. The room was dirty, with what looked like blood stains on the blinds and holes in the bed frame. The bathroom had stands around the shower and sink. The hallway to the rooms was nice, but the rooms themselves were terrible. It was also strange that there was no reception and I paid on the stairs without a receipt or confirmation.
