“Cool, spooky place”
I had a great night here, a totally different vibe from other Japanese spots. The area feels a bit spooky, like Alabama, maybe because of the goat outside my window or the American‑style buildings, and I didn’t spot anyone else during my one‑night stay after meeting the friendly owners at check‑in. The room was spotless, the bed super comfy, and the AC and Wi‑Fi worked flawlessly; the fridge was a huge plus since there are no shops nearby, so I’d suggest grabbing sandwiches beforehand. It was the cheapest place I could find in the area, a touch pricey for the standard, but the eerie atmosphere (which I liked) made it worth it. I headed to Kamishikimi Kumanoimasu Shrine, a 30‑minute walk, and the train station was about an hour away on foot. The coolest old‑school samurai‑style restaurant I’ve ever been to is just a 15‑minute walk from here.
