The staff were very friendly. The location is a tropical forest by the ocean with a pool. There is no ceiling fan in the lounge dining area; the one in the rooms is ineffective and needs replacement. However, two portable fans help keep the heat down, though it’s a bit tight overall. On weekends and weekdays the hotel restaurant and pool are open to the public, and there can be birthday parties or receptions. It wasn’t a problem for us, but it would be useful to know beforehand if you’re looking for a quiet spot.
