The room was big, with a fridge, microwave, toaster and dishes, which was very handy, and the bed was very comfortable. We booked the room mainly to use the restaurant, but it was closed and that wasn’t obvious on the website; it was also very loud, with a pub across the street and a train station next to it.

There was a TV, fridge, microwave and kettle, and the housekeeper saved the place from a zero rating—she was lovely, apologized on behalf of the owner who was away. The shower only gave cold water unless the hot tap in the sink was running; the pub was noisy on Friday and Saturday but earplugs were provided. The bathroom had a small sink for washing dishes and filling the kettle, and we had to buy our own washing liquid and other items because there was no cleaning service initially. The owners also run a restaurant downstairs, but they were away and we weren't told this when we booked.

We booked a couple of rooms for one night, had all we needed, and the beds were very comfortable, with no problems at all.
