The service here was really warm and welcoming
The views over the ocean are lovely
The breakfast was a highlight - it was generous, beautifully presented, and delicious
It's a bit far from Denpasar and Kuta

“Oase van rust !”
My wife, our five young kids and I stayed in a lovely suite where two of the children slept in the “front room” and the other three used a separate room; the calm atmosphere the hotel and its staff exude was wonderful and we really enjoyed our time. The sun stopped reaching the pool fairly early, but luckily there was a large sunny lawn on the side where we could still catch the last rays on our towels.
The ocean view at the entrance and from my balcony was great, and the large room made me feel comfortable. The bathroom was nice, the bed was comfortable, and the interiors were pleasing.
“Not quite as expected for a five star hotel”
It’s close to the safari, and most of the staff are friendly. The towels usually look grey, with one even having brown stains. There isn’t much to do inside the hotel, and breakfast choices are limited.
The colonial‑style building is very beautiful, my view from the restaurant is superb, and the staff very kind, but our room was on a busy road day and night, so it was very noisy, and the hotel is old; many things need fixing, the rooms were very damp and had a musty smell.
The gardens were very well maintained and the lake and surroundings were beautiful. However, the breakfast selection was weak, the cappuccino machine didn’t work, and the food definitely needs improvement. The accommodation price was too high.
