I had no water, no proper toilet, no curtains, no real light, no heating, bad signage, poor lighting inside and outside, bad beds, a gravel road to get there, and no heat again. I didn’t like anything and there was no lake nearby.

The place is in a nice spot, but I didn’t realize I’d have to drive down some unpaved roads; I should have double‑checked the map instead of assuming it would show the route, especially since I was in a rental car. The bed looked like it hadn’t been changed since the previous guest; I opened the linen cupboard and found a pile of used sheets that were no better. The mattress was worn out and should have been replaced. The room felt a bit dirty, with no running water and only water containers that hadn’t been refilled. A noisy electric heater in the main room tried but failed to warm the space, and the electrical system was only partially working – I doubt it meets safety standards, with two extension cords plugged into each outlet. I came for the sauna, but it was filthy, with hair and other debris in the shower and on the floor; the shower was broken and useless. The sauna itself was fine but dark and dirty, with no lights. When I knocked on the door, a teenager answered – he seemed shy or busy, and he wasn’t very helpful when I asked questions.

The cabin was very cozy and “authentic,” surrounded by fantastic nature right next door. It was clean and fresh, and the host was friendly and helpful. It was nice to be able to take a postcard as a souvenir 😊

“Einsamkeit Ruhe und schön”

The retreat from the modern world in that lonely cabin was really beautiful! The sauna was very dirty and had to be cleaned before use; starting it was no problem. The shower was frozen and unusable, and water was only brought on the day of arrival – 25 L was too little for a three‑person household plus toiletries, and no more water was brought, so we had to leave early.
