It was a bit special, modern yet quirky. We felt very comfortable and the atmosphere was very friendly. There was essentially nothing else, except a service lady made a strange comment about my dog, which was the only oddity. Since dogs are allowed at the hotel, that surprised me.

Breakfast was exceptionally good! The service is extremely courteous and helpful. You can also dine excellently in the restaurant in the evenings, and the bar is very cozy. Everything is perfect for a pleasant stay!

This charming hotel boasts beautifully decorated public rooms and a well‑designed, slightly quirky restaurant that seems to be its main attraction; my room was gorgeous and spacious. The village around the hotel is lovely, and there is free parking, a bonus in Germany, and electric car chargers. I dined at the gourmet restaurant and found the meal very good. Breakfast was à la carte and in the same gourmet style as the previous evening’s meal; as a morning person I found it a bit overwhelming, and the “Bamberger Hoernchen” turned out to be a croissant. Everything else was lovely and homemade, and the confiture could be bought in the hotel shop along with other gourmet items and some attractive tumblers that tempted me to buy.

Overall we had a very nice stay. The spa area was small, windowless, but it was very quiet. The pool is very warm but a bit dark. The room was a little small, yet we could hear the stream. The staff are very friendly. Dinner at the bistro was sophisticated and partly very good, but it came with a price. The walk to the forest pool along the stream through the woods is beautiful.
