How guests rate the property, aspect by aspect.
The family who welcomed us was very friendly. The climb up Mount Batur was excellent. The establishment was rated 8.6, but nothing matched that rating. The photos in the listing did not match reality. The hotel was not clean, and there were many flies from nearby farms. We booked three nights but only stayed one.

A nice little bungalow. No reception upon arrival; we had to wait almost three hours to see the owner, who was at the temple. The room was cold and had no blanket. We wanted to do the sunrise excursion to Mount Batur but ended up in a jeep because my husband had knee pain. The hotel first said they only offered it on foot. Then, when we found a guide willing to do it by jeep, it turned out to be possible. It was a bit random. The hotel was also hard to find, with no signs even though we arrived with a guide who knew the area. Even the pool was disappointing because it wasn’t maintained. I don’t recommend it.

An amazing place to stay! The rooms are beautiful and incredibly comfortable, the Wi-Fi is fast, the breakfast is excellent, and the whole family is so kind and welcoming. They even helped me rent a scooter for only 100,000 IDR per day, while every rental place around Batur was asking for at least 150,000 IDR. I highly recommend this place, and I’ll definitely stay here again if I come back to Batur

The staff were super welcoming and helpful with our requests. There aren’t many scooter rentals in the area, so you have to ask the staff for a taxi. It was a bit dirty, but overall it was fine.

A nice room with a beautiful view from the terrace over Batur. Water, tea, and coffee were free at all times. The sunrise tour to Batur could be booked cheaply through the accommodation, and if requested, you could be taken into town. The host organized the onward transfer. Overall, for the price it was okay. The toilet seat was loose and wobbled. The pool was dirty and unusable. The property felt somewhat neglected (loose boards on the stairs, weeds on the paths). There was only one restaurant nearby, and all other restaurants were not within walking distance. There was also no supermarket or shop nearby. We did not find the quality of breakfast and dinner to be good.
