The spacious double room at Ilah residency features a private bathroom with bath and shower, a flat-screen TV, safe deposit box, and a large wardrobe. It also boasts a private terrace and comfortable sleeping arrangements for up to four guests.
“Friendly Staff, Cleanliness Issues”
The hotel's staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, always willing to lend a helping hand. They made a big difference in my stay, making me feel welcome and at ease. However, the cleanliness of the rooms was a letdown - I was expecting a spotless space, but unfortunately, it wasn't quite up to par. To make matters worse, some rooms had toilets that were left open, which was a bit of a shock.
650 m from Marina beach, adjacent to Chepauk stadium and quiet neighborhood. The pics shown are only for one of the rooms on the top floor, all ground floor rooms are very basic 10x10 ft rooms. The bedsheets and pillow covers looked like they weren't washed properly. Bathrooms commode, washbasin and floor were not cleaned properly. We had to ask for another room as the original room given to us did not have a water supply in the washbasin and the room smelt like someone who excessively smoked stayed there before us. Upon asking for room change, one of the caretakers, instead of owning responsibility, tried to correct us for not having checked everything before asking for another room. This place is okay for bachelors who may not be quite particular about room upkeep, who are smokers and who only want to rest and change dress
