A huge thank you to the host Andre, an incredibly welcoming person who knows everything about the area, gave us detailed tips on where to eat well, which excursions are worth doing, and even offered to organise a night trip to see the hippos—an unforgettable adventure! The rooms are clean, cosy and fully equipped for comfortable living: everything you need is there, and you feel right at home. If you want more than just a place to sleep—real care and advice from a local expert—this is definitely the place for you. I will definitely be back!

“You simly havw to stay here!”

We travelled around South Africa for three weeks and Lake St. Lucia Lodge was our favorite accommodation, largely thanks to Andre who told us so much about the country, his garden, hippos, etc., booked a river boat safari, recommended a trip to Cape Vidal and good local restaurants, even joined us for an evening hippo spotting and showed us where hippos cross his garden; he truly lives for and with St. Lucia and the hippos. The cottage was exceptional, cleaned daily, drinking water provided, beds comfortable, wifi fast, and the kitchen exceptionally well equipped—only there could we make meals in a Teflon pan that was not scratched. Andre, thank you for everything, you called us special, but the one who is truly special is you! Hugs!

“Maravillosa opción en St. Luci”

Un acierto para alojarse en St. Lucia, un alojamiento amplio, cómodo y todas las facilidades necesarias para una perfecta estancia. La ubicación perfecta, en un remanso de paz, al final de la calle principal de St. Lucia, fuera del ruido que puede haber en restaurantes y demás. Lo mejor de todo la atención del anfitrión, pendiente en todo momento de tus necesidades. Te aconseja sobre las mejores actividades y le encanta enseñarte su maravilloso jardín, los pájaros que acuden cada noche a dormir a su jardín, las huellas que han dejado los hipopótamos, etc. Una persona maravillosa. Todo ha estado bien

Andre es un gran anfitrion. Nos recibio con una sonrisa y nos explicó todo muy bien. La habitación estaba muy limpia y tiene todo lo necesario. Si volviéramos no dudariamos en elegirlo de nuevo
