The Boat House was a gem of all the hostels in Cancun. I arrived there with a plan to dive, so I didn't need a pool during my stay, but needed a place with a good money value. And The Boat House was exactly what I needed. It's located in a short distance form ADO station, supermerket, park with live music and buses to take you to Zona Hotelera. There is a patio, where you can rest duing the day and the rooms have AC. The AC is running nearly 24/7, which is not typical in Mexico. It is turned off only for couple of hours during the day. There is a kitchen, which is very well equipped. New pans, pots. You can see that they slowly are doing all the maitaince in the hostel, so there will be some changes probably soon. But the most important in that hostel is. staff. All of them are super helpful, very caring. They want to make sure that your stay would be a great experience. Special thanks to Maggie! She was helping me all the time with all my problems and gave me lots of advice! Thank you! On my next stay in Cancun I will come back to The Boat House. The first night I had a horrible mattress in my bed. I couldn't sleep. But the next day I asked and changed bed. I know that they are slowly exchanging mattresses in all the rooms, so it will be bettr :) Mattress in the other bed was all fine :)

The staff, especially Meche, deserves a raise—super attentive. It’s right next to the ADO, Oxxo, and everything else in the city center. The Wi‑Fi is excellent, and everything else I liked; I’d come back again. I liked everything.
