“Old and unclean.”
The lady at the breakfast area, Margaret is awesome at her work. The night security guard was hostile towards me. There is a borderline between doing your job and hostility. I’m not sure if I was white he would be this hostile towards me. Also, I stayed for 6 days and my room was red cleaned until the 5th day this is not cool for such a hotel. I even went down to ask for my room to be cleaned but it seems the policy in the hotel is that it only gets cleaned on the 5th day of your stay
“Pleasant hotel in need of some updates”
Lovely old building but needs some updating. No plugs beside bed and only one bedside table. Could have more continental choice for breakfast
Had a lovely big room.Very clean.Well stocked coffee and tea facilities.Very relaxing break. Everything was good
“Ideal for a one/two night stay”
An unbeatable location. Very centrally located to the train station, shops and nightlife. Beautiful lobby and helpful staff who were very friendly. Room was basic but ideal for a single night. No issues with noise. Would recommend as a room after a night out. Although the room had no windows it had plenty of lighting. I was also able to store my luggage before and after check in which was handy. The room was mostly clean however under the desk hadn’t been cleaned and there was a hairball and screwed up foil on the floor from previous guests. Would have been nice to have a bath mat (had to use the hand towel). Would also recommend booking last minute. I booked a week in advance for £125 but on the day the same room was £38. Definitely paid well over the odds and not a £100+ a night hotel. Also be aware that you have to pay for wifi in the rooms
“Beautiful building, with wow factors when entering, vast bedrooms 649 in total.”
The breakfast, was brilliant with plenty to eat, lots available, very comfortable and welcoming place to stay
