The location was in the middle of a village, on the edge of mangroves. The ladies who welcomed us were very attentive, the meals were excellent. It was very hot and the fan was not enough; the Wi‑Fi was not very effective.

I couldn’t stay long at the Djangoa relais, but the welcome was top‑class. I arrived in the middle of the night and they managed to guide me to the arrival point. The meal was fantastic and very filling. The setting is pleasant and 30 minutes from Ambanja, perfect for an early arrival in Ankify to catch the transfer boats to the islands. The pillows were a bit lacking.

The location is amazing right in the middle of the village on the countryside, a total change of scenery. The reception was wonderful. The bathroom facilities are very basic; there’s no hot water, but that doesn’t bother you if you’re just staying one night.
