“teleurstellend”
The room was fine, but the breakfast and the hotel food were disappointing; everything tasted bland and the selection was unappealing. The fruit looked overripe, and my husband fell ill after eating yogurt. Laundry prices were absurdly high—30 THB for a pair of socks, whereas a nearby shop charged only 40 THB for a full kilogram. The biggest let‑down was the staff’s attitude when we arrived with my sick son after a night train; he had a fever over 40 °C and felt weak. Even though a room was available, we were told we’d have to pay extra to use it early. We’ve never experienced such a lack of understanding or helpfulness elsewhere in Thailand; every other place we stayed was warm and accommodating. This hotel was a huge disappointment for us.
❤️ Everything was fine.
“Voor de tweede keer weer uitstekend als je een gezellig en makkelijk hotel zoek dat centraal ligt.”
It’s my second time at Samen Street Hotel and it’s still excellent. The area is relatively quiet with plenty of restaurants and shops, yet it’s close to the bustling Khao San Road. The pool is nice, and the hotel is great for families with kids.
The location was good, but the floor in the room was very dirty.
The facilities and staff were great, but there was no parking available.
