“Brilliant hotel great staff”
Everything was spotless, the staff were friendly, breakfast was very good, and the restaurant view was great. They aren’t serving dinner at the moment, but hopefully they will soon; no other negatives.

The hotel staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Our spacious room (number 6) impressed with its generous size, and the large bathroom offered plenty of storage. The beds were great, with mattresses that had just the right firmness. Dinner was delicious, breakfast was good. The view from the room of the golf course and the water was especially appealing. Golfers can book a tee time directly at the hotel, which makes the green fee cheaper. It’s also possible to walk to the viewpoint at the river mouth, where a seal colony can be observed. The Wi‑Fi was okay, and the windows could be opened only slightly. Parking is free and located right at the hotel. Room service was good and occurred daily without special request. Everything was really good, but I get annoyed whenever a hotel tells me whether I can open a window or not. I understand there may be safety reasons, yet I feel it’s a bit over‑control.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the room was clean and charming, and I strongly recommend the restaurant; breakfast was amazing and they offer gluten‑free options. The location is ideal, close to Seal Beach, and the bus stop sits right in front of the hotel, which is handy if you’re heading to Aberdeen or Slains Castle without a car.
