I was close to Kyoto Sanjo Shopping St, where mornings and afternoons are full of food, clothing, and souvenir shops. The area is very quiet and near Nijo Castle, all great with service and close to the subway. For the price and service, it’s perfect. One night we had an issue with the hot water for the shower, but it didn’t happen again.

The place is in a good spot and the building and facilities are new. There’s a tiny problem: the room smells faintly like something that might be a misunderstanding, but I’m a short‑haired male and found two long, thin strands of hair in the bathroom. I might be getting a good deal, but the system of having to go to an outside bakery for breakfast didn’t suit me.

The location, comfortable beds, and very friendly staff are great. The room is very small, leaving no room to put a large bag or suitcase.
