The place wasn’t very clean and the first room they offered had a moldy smell, but they let us pick from several options and we ended up on the upper floor where the ventilation was good and we could see the mountains. It’s on Kitulgala’s main street and they offer rafting. Even though the stay was bad, the owner and his friend handled everything quickly, responded fast, and even took me to the emergency room. My worst experience in Sri Lanka: I sat on the bed, felt a pin, found a glucose meter needle under the sheets, and had to go to the hospital for tests. I had to change plans and move to another village the next day for medical expenses and tests.
