37 m² · 1 full bed
Beds 7.5/10 · 5 guests mention them
“Abgewohnt und dreckig”
The rooms were incredibly filthy and oddly familiar, never cleaned. The bed still showed clear traces from previous guests, which is something that can happen in India but isn’t worth mentioning. When the manager’s father met us on the last evening, it was even more shocking; after asking about our nationality, he explained the current political situation in our home country in an unbelievably racist and rude manner, claiming we had no idea about politics while he did. We simply replied “we go now” and left him alone. He clearly had no idea how to run a hotel. It’s a shame because Pushkar is a beautiful place we would recommend to any Indian traveler.
The property is very pretty at the foot of the mountains, the rooms are spacious, and the staff is friendly, but the room was very cold.
“On the whole value for money and the staff are nice.”
The place is very pet friendly and gives plenty of room for animals to roam. It’s spacious and set away from the city, but the cleanliness could use some work.
“A Gorgeous and friendly traditional hotel which I will want to return to”
The Rising Star was lovely, with a really nice room and a welcoming host. I adored the wall art and the hotel’s traditional style.
“Very average. Pets can enjoy.”
The hotel sits at the hill’s base with a large lawn full of trees and greenery. Staff were friendly and allowed pets, giving dogs a place to roam. However, the rooms are small and average, there’s no proper restaurant and the menu is very limited. Communication between staff and owner is terrible, and nobody knows what they’re supposed to do all day. The road to the hotel is a mess. They charge extra for pets but provide no pet facilities—no towels, no tap outside for cleaning, no dog carpet, no food options, no bowls, etc.
