“Smród kiła I mogiła. Uciekaj!”
The place was wild. An older gentleman offered us a Dutch cabin because it was available, and unlike the other cabins it had its own toilet and shower. For two adults and a child we paid 360 zł. Unfortunately, upon entering the cabin we were shocked. There was a very strong, unpleasant odor inside. The windows were almost open from every side, yet the smell didn’t dissipate. It was late and it was getting cold outside, so after closing the windows the odor became almost unbearable – we started coughing and just felt bad. The bedding, duvets, pillows and blankets looked very old and stale. The whole cabin needed a thorough cleaning and refresh. The worst part was the bathroom. The shower and its surroundings were in a condition that I believe should not be accepted in a lodging facility. The photos show the state of the cabin, the grout and the drain area. This isn’t about lack of luxury – it’s about basic cleanliness and hygiene. We also had a very unpleasant encounter with other tourists. When we returned from the shop, a couple of foreign tourists were waiting at the gate. They didn’t speak Polish. It turned out they had a reservation, but according to the owner they had booked a tent, not a cabin. The cabin was visible in the listing photo, but the information about the tent was lower in the description. The tourists were clearly upset because they were left without a place to sleep. The owner refused to refund them and simply ended the conversation. Luckily we didn’t stay long. About half an hour later we decided to cancel the stay and leave the cabin. We didn’t even try to recover the money because after the earlier issue with the owner we didn’t believe anything could be resolved. I don’t recommend this place. It’s not that the cabin is old, small or modest – we were prepared for that.
