GITE diner AMERICAIN

The themed accommodation was presented beautifully and sits on the outskirts of the lovely village of Clevillier, making it an excellent base for visiting Chartres and its stunning cathedral. We also took advantage of the Safari Park and zoo at Safari Thoiry. Catherine, the host, was lovely and made sure every little detail was sorted for our arrival.

The place is calm, the common room is a good size, the kitchen is very well equipped, and the décor is very unique, matching the photos and description perfectly; the foosball table is a nice touch. However, there is no soap in the bathrooms or kitchen, and no bottled water is provided.

The property feels very modern, located in a rural part of France yet close to big cities and small villages alike. Nothing else to add.

From an interior design perspective, it is definitely special. For the purpose we had, quietly in the countryside and in close proximity to Chartres (culture, shops, restaurant, railway station) it is well located. Excellent daily fresh bread via a machine, EV car charging station and bit far away (8km), which we solved by bringing in a bike. The table football provided for lots of fun and excitement! Very friendly and helpful owners of the gite. One bathroom on three bedrooms / 6 people requires a bit coordination

“TRES BEAU ET ORIGINALE GITE .”

The décor is very original, and the space is beautiful. The bedding is of very good quality. The lounge/dining area lacks atmospheric lighting (or the bulbs need changing—currently the light is a bit too harsh).
