The cottage’s location was pleasant, and the person handling the pool cocktails was friendly and helpful, just like the breakfast service staff who listened to our needs. However, we couldn’t dine at the restaurant, and the coordination between reception and the restaurant was awkward. Inside the cottage, there were no dishes and no oven or microwave, and the place lacked refreshments; the paint was peeling and the sofa fabric was dirty.

The cabin sits in the middle of vineyards on the slopes of Vesuvius, which makes it very special. A car is necessary because the cabin is far from the main building with the pool. The valley view is beautiful, and the host is very nice and helpful. The shower hose was broken (completely leaking) and was replaced the next morning. The pool is gorgeous (but you need a swim cap) and closes at 18:00. It’s a basic cabin but it has the essentials, and the shower was repaired quickly.

The spot is unique, offering a fantastic view of Vesuvius, the sea, Pompeii, and the wine region—quiet and secluded, with staff who are extremely courteous and friendly. It’s truly exceptional, though you’ll need a car or bike to get around. The place feels a bit dated but clean; for self-catering, the essentials are available or can be requested. The nearby breakfast isn’t particularly recommended, more below average, but the value for money is acceptable. Remember to take the Gelsenstecker.

We had a lovely, peaceful couple of days at a guest house in the middle of a beautiful vineyard overlooking Mount Vesuvius and with wonderful city views—a unique experience. A car is essential, though it’s a short drive to the city, restaurants, and the Archaeological Park of Pompeii. The staff were very helpful and friendly, offering recommendations and assisting with nearby restaurant bookings. The guest house was clean and the bed comfortable. The kitchenette is quite basic, but we managed fine.
