The neighborhood was good and quiet, and the host welcomed me warmly, staying in touch throughout my stay. Solar power and a backup generator proved useful during load shedding. I had no complaints and was really pleased with everything.

The accommodation was well appointed with lovely fittings and luxurious linen, and I even met an elderly dog. The toilet, however, was in a very small space, so anyone a bit bigger than us could have a problem.

The location was great and secure, and communication was fantastic; the accommodation itself was clean and comfortable. I had no complaints.

Breakfast wasn’t included, but tea, coffee, sugar and milk were available, which was handy in the inclement weather. I lost my phone and the host went above and beyond to help trace it and contact my family, which I appreciated. If you stay longer and enjoy entertainment, you might miss having a TV; I wasn’t bothered, and everything else made up for its absence.
