“Don’t book a Saturday night if you want some peace and quiet!”
We enjoyed a pleasant stay at the Narborough Arms. The room was a good size with a large, comfortable bed, and the bathroom was also spacious. Everything was clean and the breakfast was nice. The staff were friendly and welcoming. It was very noisy, which affected our stay. When we arrived, people were smoking around the entrance, which wasn’t a great first impression. Unfortunately, there was a noticeable smoky smell in our room from the wood burner downstairs. The noise in the pub was overwhelming and you had to shout to be heard at check‑in. It was hard to hear any of the information we were given. Some people might think this is a vibrant atmosphere, but we were looking forward to a nice meal and a quiet drink. As soon as we arrived we actually asked for directions to another pub that would be quieter, not a good start! The noise went on till 12.30 am. We wouldn’t book this again and felt it wasn’t value for money at all.
