A cozy 2‑bed house that felt like home, with coffee pods and basic supplies like toilet roll and washing‑up gear already set out by the owners. We had a great stay overall, though unloading our bags was a bit of a hassle because the roads were narrow and the property was only accessible on foot; the parking lot was nearby and convenient. Finding the house was tough—there were no road signs or any signage on the premises, so a site map or a pinpointed location would help future guests. Check‑in arrived a little late at 4 pm, even though the checkout time is 10 am.

“The worst stay ever.”

The apartment was clean and nice, but everything else was terrible. Our holiday at Atlantic Reach in Newquay was ruined by a series of problems. From day one, the shower had no hot water, and we were told not to use the cold shower either because of low water pressure and drainage issues, so we couldn’t shower properly in our own accommodation. We were offered to use the campsite showers for £20 per adult and £10 per child, but we declined because that would have added a huge extra cost to our family. The staff never clarified whether Atlantic Reach would reimburse those expenses, so we couldn’t risk spending more money without knowing if we’d get it back. Instead we had to pay for gym memberships to get proper showers, and we also incurred extra costs for parking, towels, and fuel. To make matters worse, people kept coming to the apartment about the shower problem, disrupting our holiday and making us feel uncomfortable. After many messages and emails, we were offered some compensation, mostly covering the gym costs, which didn’t feel like a real apology for the disruption, stress, and ruined holiday we endured. We paid for a holiday expecting basic facilities to be available.

The location was fine, but the shower was a nightmare; I had to take my family to a relative’s place every day for a shower because it didn’t work. The whole experience was a shambles, and I’ll never book through this place again.

“Hier nicht nochmal....”

The location of this property is awful. You can’t leave on foot; the only exit is a very busy road with no shoulder or pedestrian path, where cars drive at 60 mph and pose a serious danger to walkers. There’s no nearby bus stop and no shops on the premises. To use the pools, you have to pay £20 per person. In the holiday apartment, the double bed is too narrow and too deep, and the mattresses are uncomfortable.

It was amazing. The host was more than accommodating, and the place and facilities were fantastic. The only downside was the weather, which was rubbish, but that had nothing to do with the host or accommodation 😁
