I had a fantastic stay at Kanthak Hotel in Lumbini. The spot is great, breakfast tasty, and the owner was super friendly, helpful and accommodating. The room was roomy, spotless, with comfy beds and a superb shower full of hot water. The highlight was waking up to a gorgeous sunrise each day! I’d 100 % recommend it and would love to return.

I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Kanthak and it far surpassed my expectations. The owner was kind in many ways, even catering to my dietary restrictions, cooking food I loved and helping me navigate Lumbini and arrange my bus back to Pokhara. The room was basic but very clean, just what I needed, and I enjoyed the beautiful morning glow with fog over the rice fields at sunset. I’ll definitely stay again if I return and would recommend the hotel. The blankets were warm in a room without A/C and the sun hit the windows all day; that was the only issue and something to work around.

The location right outside gate 5, a short walk from Maya Devi Temple, and close to Lumbini Market was fantastic. The breakfast was excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the value was excellent. It would have been nice to have normal bedside lights for reading, they were red and sometimes blue so I had to use the big overhead lights. And not the hotel's fault but walking down the street at night was very dark, especially for a solo woman
