We stayed one night before our Hurtigruten Coastal Express trip, and the accommodation was comfortable, clean, and fully equipped; Tommy, the host, was fantastic—he escorted us to the Russian border, chatted about Norway, Kirkenes, and the impact of war‑related sanctions, then dropped us off at the ship, which really enhanced our experience in this beautiful part of the world. No complaints.

We didn’t stay overnight, but after getting off the ferry we needed a place to stash our luggage while we spent the day in Kirkenes before catching our 9pm flight to Oslo. Tommy was fantastic—he welcomed us warmly and even drove all four of us to the airport for free, plus he gave us a quick tour of the area. The room has a few stairs, but it’s only a five‑minute walk to town.

The spot’s location is great, and the owner is friendly and helpful. The space feels cozy, though the tiny “kitchen” is a bit cramped. The sloped ceilings caused a couple of head bumps, and the towels weren’t as soft as I’d hoped.

It’s centrally located in Kirkenes, just a short walk to the city center. The host is very service‑friendly and responds quickly to questions. The slanted ceilings on the floor caught me a few times, which was a bit annoying.
