The location was good and the bed had curtains. There were no electrical outlets, lamps, or shelves in the pod, so it wasn’t that comfortable. A gap between the mattress and the bed frame made it easy for items like a water bottle to fall onto the person below—having a shelf would help. The toilets and showers were dirty and unpleasant at night, and they probably need more frequent cleaning during the day.

The check‑in was really unfriendly and nothing was explained; the breakfast was barely a breakfast, it was filthy because of the other guests, and the smell was awful. It would help if everyone cleared their stuff before you head to bed.

The only hostel in Perth that offers pod‑style bunk beds with curtains, which is its sole real advantage. It’s not far from a CAT bus. The bathrooms are cramped, with only 2 toilets and 2 showers for more than 30 beds on one floor, and they rely on the curtain beds to avoid fixing the rest of the hostel.

There was no lamp on the bed, and the socket is not international enough; my international plug cannot fit because of the protrusion around the socket.
