It’s my second stay here. Good value and excellent location. 1-min walk to Waikiki. Staff were always nice and helpful. The room was old, understandably. But the AC noise at night was a bit loud
“Sovrapprezzo e decisamente da rimodernare”
The hotel sits right across from Waikīkī beach, but the price doesn’t match the property or the room type at all. The building needs a serious upgrade; the corridors and interior are constantly damp and musty, and we had to keep the air‑conditioner running nonstop to fight the humidity that even warped our passports and books. The bathroom fan didn’t work, the shower had rust stains, and housekeeping only came every other day. Pricing was confusing—our arrival coincided with Hurricane Lala, so we hadn’t booked the first night until the flight was confirmed, agreeing on $334, which later ballooned to about $440 because no one knew who we’d spoken to. When we tried to book through a cheaper site, the receptionist bluntly warned us it would mean a much longer check‑in wait.
“Faltou respeito e satisfacao aos hospedes!”
The air conditioning worked and the bed was comfortable. On the day of an incident in one of the units, we had to go up and down 14 flights of stairs because the elevators weren’t available—no one mentioned it, and for the next few days only one elevator was working.
“Vraiment dommage, car le reste était plutôt correct, même si la piscine n'avait aucun attrait.”
After several nights, we missed our return flight because the hotel wouldn’t let us keep the unreserved room for a few extra hours unless we paid again. That was unacceptable.
“A very pleasant stay in a great location, with everything we needed close by.”
The location was excellent — the beach and the zoo are right nearby, while the main street with shops, cafés, and restaurants is only about a 10-minute walk away. The hotel and its facilities are not new, but this was not an issue at all, as there is plenty of information about it online and you know what to expect before your stay
