Nothing special about the stay, and I felt underwhelmed overall.

I parked my car 30 minutes from downtown Tucson and found the hotel in a gorgeous spot surrounded by striking views and the famous Seguro cacti. Because the place is so remote, everything you need—entertainment, spa, food, drinks—comes from the on‑site services. As you’d expect from a Ritz‑Carlton, the staff was attentive and welcoming. Two restaurants are on the property, and the golf club that serves both the resort and nearby residences is easy to reach. The main dining room offers great Japanese dishes as well as typical Southwest fare. My room was super comfy, the pillows were perfect, and the soundproofing meant I slept like a log. The spa was a real sanctuary for adults, with a gym, steam room, sauna, a salt plunge pool, and a “serenity” pool; massages and other treatments were available. High‑speed Wi‑Fi worked flawlessly. On the downside, if you’re not familiar with French phrasing, you’ll have to look up “À la Carte”; once you’re charged for your room, every other item on the menu has a fixed price. This is common at resorts, but it can be a shock to the wallet. Expect pricey food, spa services, a mandatory daily resort fee, and extra tips for the staff. Weekend spa treatments (Friday‑Sunday) add another thirty dollars, and the resort fee does not cover spa access unless you get a treatment. If you’re traveling with a family of four or more, the costs might make you reconsider your children’s college fund, though the quality of the products is solid. Your room has a coffee machine, but there’s no free coffee at 5:00 AM; a couple of coffees and two muffins can cost almost $50.

I had a wonderful stay here, feeling cozy and relaxed throughout my visit. There wasn't anything that stood out as a drawback for me. Overall, it was a great experience.
