The place is close to the beach and feels peaceful and calm, but communication is an issue because the owner doesn’t understand much.

“Disrespectful to women”

The accommodation looks nice, though the photos aren’t up to date, and as a solo female traveler I felt very uncomfortable because the guy who runs the place didn’t give me the room I booked, and I had to explain it multiple times; another male guest had to step in to help, after which I finally received the correct room, so my criticism is directed at the men and how they talk to and treat women.

“L'hotel con gli scarafaggi”

The wife of the owner was kind and the breakfast, though not varied, was affordable at 400 Lkr with only coffee or tea to choose from. Despite us texting the owner several times, including via WhatsApp, about our arrival at 5 am, when we got there he was surprised and handed us a very dilapidated “room”; the room was dirty and for two consecutive nights we found two cockroaches. The next day we complained and he moved us to a different room that was cleaner, but the bathroom was “shared” with ants, and the water stopped working one day because the main switch had been turned off. Internet worked intermittently because the modem was sometimes turned off. Look elsewhere.

We were disappointed and checked out early because there were many cockroaches in our room, the cleanliness was poor, no blanket was provided, some power outlets and the shower didn’t work properly, and after leaving on the first night we still had to pay for two nights even though we only stayed one.
