We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel was lovely and a memorable part of our honeymoon in Kyoto. A short cab ride took us to the best parts of Kyoto, and it was walkable to the top museums and galleries. Our only criticism was that breakfast could have been better. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay.

The staff were friendly and attentive, which was a big plus for our stay at Kyoto Okura Hotel Okazaki Bettei. Breakfast was consistently good every day. What impressed us more than a one‑off surprise was the consistency of service and food quality throughout our stay, adding a wonderful lodging experience to our Kyoto trip. Unfortunately, the transport convenience was a bit lacking. Even though there’s a bus stop right outside the hotel, the location is far from Kyoto city centre and Kyoto Station, so getting back and forth takes more time. If your itinerary focuses on shopping, dining in the city centre, or frequent trips to Kyoto Station, the transport will feel a bit inconvenient. In terms of daily necessities, there’s a short walk to a convenience store. There’s also a 24‑hour local supermarket next to the hotel, but we didn’t actually go in, so I can’t comment on the product selection or shopping experience. The free Wi‑Fi was very slow; neither Taiwanese nor Japanese sites could connect smoothly.

Everything was truly amazing! After a long morning of exploring I arrived early and was let into my room before the official check in time! Thank you to all the staff! You all made my trip truly enjoyable and I hope to come again sometime!

The architect’s design is stunning, with peaceful gardens, superb rooms, and helpful staff. The only downside was a minor noise issue.

The room was very elegant and beautiful, and the hotel manager was extremely attentive. The location is a bit far, but there is a bus right outside the door.
