The bed was my favourite, but the shower area left something to be desired.

We especially liked that the owner, Dermot, was very helpful and friendly, and he even assisted us in renting a car. The room was comfortable and the welcome gifts plentiful. A supermarket is just next to the accommodation, and the neighbourhood is quiet (a residential subdivision). The bathroom, however, was problematic—especially the shower, which behaves oddly and makes it hard to set the water temperature, and there is no cold water at the sink. It wasn’t clearly stated whether the kitchen was usable, but we used it and found the storage and cleanliness somewhat limited. The accommodation is a good distance from the city centre, about 2 km.

The property was well maintained and clean, and the location was very convenient. The room was small and very cramped, and the parking wasn’t the best.

The welcome was exceptional; the host was a very kind man who went the extra step, noticing small and simple things that other accommodations might miss, such as a variety of snacks, canned cocktails, every type of pillow you’d need for a ‘bespoke’ sleep, and a bedside fan—which is crucial during the recent and upcoming heatwaves. Dermot nailed the attention to detail.
