The property was decent. Very disappointing experience – poor communication, failure to honour booking and rude host. 1. Poor self-check-in arrangements On 17 October, I arrived at 5:30 pm, within the advertised check-in hours. Despite advertising self-check-in, the host had not provided the key lockbox code in advance. My calls went unanswered, and I only received the code after arriving, ringing the doorbell and requesting access. This was inconvenient and poorly organised. 2. Failure to honour my confirmed reservation I had booked and paid for a room with a private bathroom from 18–25 October. The previous night, I stayed in a separately booked smaller room with a shared bathroom. On 18 October, the host informed me that another guest would be remaining in my reserved room due to an emergency. She insisted that I continue using the smaller room with a shared bathroom instead, despite my confirmed booking for different facilities. 3. Rude and unprofessional behaviour When I objected to this unacceptable downgrade, rather than apologising or offering a solution, the host became rude and insulting. She claimed that "anyone can use any room in that house" and told me to contact for a refund. 4. Excellent intervention by 's customer service agent was professional, understanding and efficient. After the host failed to respond to their calls and email, cancelled my reservation without penalty, provided credit and helped me find alternative accommodation. Overall: Poor communication, failure to honour a confirmed booking and disrespectful treatment of a paying guest. I would not recommend this property

“Hidden gem”

The house in Corby was clean, well‑kept, and had a very homely vibe. I stayed only one night, but it would be ideal for a longer visit. It’s in a nice residential area; if you’re walking, it’s about a 25‑minute stroll from central Corby. No complaints.

“Acceptable if you are looking for a cheap place for the night”

The room was clean, but the bed was very uncomfortable. The host didn’t greet me in person; we only spoke on the phone, so I didn’t feel welcomed. When I arrived, the house door was open, and throughout the night people came and went, making me feel unsafe.
