I’ve struggled to find a decent, affordable room with a private bathroom in Gothenburg and Scandinavia, so that was my main reason to book this place. The room was simple but clean and the bed was comfortable; overall it was a serviceable stay. The location is a bit awkward: it’s not far from the city centre and walkable, but you have to cross a long bridge that can feel uncomfortable when it’s cold and windy. The nearest bus stop is still a fair distance from the motel, so you end up walking quite a bit. It’s not a huge issue, but the area is sparsely populated and not very appealing at night. The motel itself looks uninviting from the outside. On our second night, some loud young guests were making noise in front of our room. The window didn’t seal properly and couldn’t be closed completely, but fortunately it wasn’t very cold outside. The Wi‑Fi could also be improved.
