The spot sits right between Castelo Branco and Fundao, less than a minute from the motorway, which is great. The pool offers a nice break from the daytime heat, though it could use a proper clean. The beds feel a bit too firm and the whole main building could use a modern facelift. The barking dogs were a constant nuisance all night, and the shower could use a revamp; thicker bedroom doors with better locks would help too.
