The onsen was wonderful and the traditional room was beautiful. However, the elderly gentleman at reception was unnecessarily rude when we politely asked to leave our luggage in the hall an hour before check‑in; the rest of the staff, especially the young man who explained the dinner dishes, were very kind and helpful.

Everything was perfect—the onsen, traditional meals, room, and the location close to the bus (a short ride to Kamikochi Park). We let them know we were on our honeymoon beforehand, and they upgraded our room and treated us like royalty. I highly recommend staying here!
