“It is impossible to fully express how wonderful our stay was.”
My wife and I were coping with a serious family loss, and the hostess and the overall experience at this Bettei made it easier; I couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and the unexpected connection to Himeji Castle made my visit to the ancient fortress even more meaningful. I wish I could have rented a car, but without a Japanese driver’s license that was impossible; however, the hostess made it completely painless by arranging transportation for us.
The owner family is very lovely, the modern facilities blend well with the traditional old Japanese home, we had a very pleasant stay and hope to come back soon!

The inn, focused on shibushi tiles, was wonderful; the staff were friendly, the bed was comfortable, and the breakfast croissants and eggs were absolutely delicious; I’ll stay again!
