Complaints from guests, the bathroom smells bad.
The hotel is fairly large with plenty of rooms, and the staff are friendly. The rooms could use a fresh look or renovation, but they’re okay, especially the very big and comfortable bed.
A nice, elegant hotel. The rooms are clean and spacious, equipped with a table, chair, coffee and tea kettle, and water. The bed is comfortable and the room is spotless. Breakfast offers a wide variety of foods, mostly Asian and fruit. It’s well‑located for walking to Malang with a short stroll. Just a short walk away is a noteworthy pizzeria called Cotaslice; remember it because the pizza is delicious and the young staff are very friendly!
“Esperienza orribile”
They helped arrange transfers and tours with local drivers, and we took a night tour to watch sunrise over Mount Bromo, which was decent though cheaper options exist; however, the service was abysmal—their staff lost our reservation for three people, ignored our request for an extra bed, recorded us as two guests despite booking a double for three, never apologized, and only cleaned the room after I specifically asked for fresh towels and toilet paper. On day two the room key stopped working and I had to demand a re‑activation. The lobby looked nice but the rooms were in terrible shape, with wooden front and bathroom doors rotting, stains on walls and ceiling, old peeling furniture, and nearby construction noise from drills and workers. If we hadn’t arrived late and booked the night tour only a few hours after arrival, we would have changed hotels.
The place is in bad shape and needs room renovations. The bathroom is very old, and the room has no window to the outside—only windows facing the hallway.
