The food, service…all very good. The only issue was that someone turned the radiator off in our room.

A lovely inn in Eskdale. Dinner and breakfast were delightful, especially the lamb stew. The staff were absolutely wonderful and welcoming. It’s just a minute’s walk from Eskdale Mill, which is definitely worth seeing! I’d also recommend hiking to Stanley Ghyll from here.

A lovely stay. Very comfortable and clean. The staff were very nice and the evening and breakfast food was superb. Nothing else.

The Boot Inn is a little gem. It’s quite remote but perfect for walking or cycling. The bar and food are really good—book an evening meal because it’s popular. It’s an old inn, so the rooms may look a bit dated, but they’re clean and have everything you need.

The food and beer were good, the location was peaceful and the staff were great, but the bathroom felt a bit dated.
