Maison Maleville

We spent three nights at Maison Malville: too short to discover all the local treasures, but enough to fall in love with this lovely home and its owner. Bertrand is fascinating when it comes to sharing valuable tips on the must‑see spots nearby. He’s also an exceptional host, attentive to every detail, and can prepare a candlelit dinner in his garden with a bottle from his cellar if you wish. The bed is comfortable, the view of the garden is breathtaking, and the night’s silence is restorative. In September, on a sunny day, the swarming swallows will enchant your breakfast. Thanks for everything; we’ll probably come back to see the renovation progress and visit other castles! Isabelle and Pascal.

“Une très belle découverte et surtout une belle rencontre”

We had a wonderful stay at this guesthouse where you feel instantly at ease. The house is magnificent, full of charm and history. What really sets it apart is Bertrand. He’s a caring, generous, passionate host who takes the time to share his knowledge, good spots, and tips for enjoying the region. You feel genuinely welcomed, like a friend. We also loved the aperitif and the calm, pleasant moments in the garden. We’re leaving with beautiful memories and a strong desire to return. We couldn’t stay longer 😒.

The welcome was great, and the house sits in a prime spot in a city where parking is scarce, but the owner managed to secure a spot right in front of us! The room was well-equipped, set in a traditional décor full of history, and you should definitely ask Bertrand—he’ll gladly refresh your history lessons. The breakfast was palace‑level, served outside in a calm setting with high‑quality regional products. The only downside was that the stay felt too short!

“Séjour d’exception à savourer sans modération.”

A historic place… Bertrand, a local, recently acquired it and renovated it alone! What an exquisite taste! The doors of this magnificent house are open to us. The antique, family items, gifts, or recently rescued pieces delight us. Everything is so beautiful to look at… We rented the two available rooms… comfortable, spacious, timeless, and we enjoy this haven of peace. Exceptional host Bertrand delights us at every moment… a perfectly welcoming reception (a strawberry salad was offered)… warm aperitifs. Bertrand enhances local specialties, a chef in his lovely kitchen… my daughter’s birthday dinner was a true enchanted pause. Bertrand helps us organize our days. Thank you very much. Don’t forget to visit the art gallery next to the house… real added value. We’ll come back for sure. Nothing else!!!
