“vacanza rovinata”
The staff were very friendly, helpful and practically invisible, yet the building feels stuck in the 1990s with kitschy décor, excessive marble, alabaster, gold and out‑of‑place furniture that only pretends luxury in the lobby and public areas. My room, however, was shabby, poorly maintained, with scratched furniture, wall and floor stains, and an 80s‑style shower‑bathtub. I was especially disappointed because I booked this hotel for its pool, attracted by the photos, only to discover that the pools shown were now decorative, unusable tubs. Reporting this to the booking site got me no help; they promised a reply within 24 hours, ignored my follow‑ups, and left me to suffer a ruined vacation and an illness from the relentless air‑conditioning throughout the hotel, which was impossible to control in my room during an unusually hot and humid summer in Peastum. When I asked the front desk about the pool, they said there was a tiny indoor pool reserved for the paid spa and not accessible as a regular pool, a relic of the 80s. In short, a very negative experience.
“One night in Ariston”
The room was huge, clean and comfortable with a large bathroom equipped with all the amenities, and the staff were courteous. The downside was the lack of a balcony and the big window looked out onto a plain white wall about 1.5–2 metres away, which felt a bit stifling. There was no way to dry wet swimsuits or towels, and the hotel didn’t have a pool, which would have been ideal. I’ve stayed in similar‑priced hotels nearby that seemed a little better. Breakfast was okay, not outstanding.
“Hollywood in Paestum”
Everything was great, but the staff seemed transparent and didn't really care about you 😂
“Bella esperienza”
The space was large, but the lack of a pool was a shame for a property with so much potential. We learned on site that the venue hosts many weddings. The complex was positive. The ferry to the beach was available, and we only had breakfast, which was very generous.
“Molto confortevole”
The room was spacious and equipped with every comfort, the tech was efficient and modern (very large TV, plenty of universal power outlets, extra remote‑controlled sockets in several spots, etc.). Breakfast and dinner at the à‑la‑carte restaurant were excellent. The hotel’s private beach was convenient, not right next to the hotel but the shuttle ran continuously, sometimes even for a single person.
