The location was good, the room spacious, the bed comfortable enough, AirCon worked wonderfully, Wi‑Fi was good, and the entry code locks operated correctly. Towels were fluffy and high quality. On the morning of departure I received an email saying €1.50 payable per evening booked to receive entry codes; I paid immediately and felt held to ransom. No codes were provided until after arriving in Malta, and I had to chase the hotel admin to get them, even though they had said the codes would be sent after payment and that was confirmed hours before, so no excuses. The room was dirty and never cleaned during our stay; the toilet had never been cleaned before we arrived and was covered in previous occupants’ urine and pubic hairs. The sheets and pillowcases were not clean and showed creases from prior use. Water pressure in the sink and shower was pathetic. The bathroom vanity mirror was not properly attached and fell off. The shower was dirty and never cleaned. The sink was too small and the vanity mirror protruded, making it impossible to use the tiny sink. A kettle, two mugs, a wine glass, a brandy glass, and a cup were provided but there was no tea, coffee, sugar, or milk, so it was pointless and dusty. The mugs and cups were dirty and had hair in them. I had to dispose of used toilet paper in a tiny bin beside the toilet—disgusting, and it seemed to happen only in room 4. No nearby shops or facilities, but a few blocks away. Morning traffic noise woke us up every day—lorries, buses, scooters, cars, all blasting horns.

I was pleased that the spot was right near the city center and that there was a shared cooler with bottled water for filling cold drinks, but the bed’s mattress left something to be desired. The room’s cleanliness was lacking, and there were no bathroom products except toilet paper; the photo under the bed showed a piece of paper and a jar of baby food, which was odd.
