We found Northland Lodge charming and cozy, and our hostess Jeanne was very welcoming. It’s in a convenient spot with easy walking distance to the town of Waterton. Nothing to complain about.

“Great location, amazing breakfast, excellent place to stay.”

Breakfast was excellent, and the location right in town next to the waterfall was perfect. We really appreciated the hospitality. The downside was that the basement suite felt a bit cramped and had some bugs that appeared often; it was mostly clean but clearly showed its age.

“Lovely small inn for couples in Waterton.”

I stayed at a cozy bed‑and‑breakfast‑style inn just a few blocks from town, close enough to walk to restaurants and shops but still far enough to spot bears and deer from the patio. The morning patio, with coffee, fresh‑baked muffins, and a view of woods and wildlife, left a lasting impression. The rooms are small and lack counter space for personal items, so a 1‑2 night stay is fine, but longer stays could feel cramped.

Breakfast was just right and very tasty, and we appreciated that the property was off the beaten path—though it was a bit hard to find without cell service from the states. We enjoyed meeting the owner and other guests during breakfast. Our room was charming, with big windows that let in great cross‑ventilation, and the outdoor spaces were pleasant. I would have liked a TV in the small room, and carrying everything up a flight of stairs was a hassle. The house is old and has its own charm, but for the price it felt a bit crowded. The price seemed high to us, yet I understand that in a tourist destination like this it was probably reasonable.
