Nothing was dirty, but the bedding was soiled, there was no air‑conditioning in a large shared room and no fan at all.

The spot was close to the port as I needed. Milan was very helpful in meeting my requests and answering my questions. They offered a free in‑room service and the food was pretty good. However, there were constant problems. I had booked a dormitory room, but when I arrived it was completely different from the photos, the beds were all dirty and used, so I asked to switch rooms. They moved me to a private room and asked for an extra 100,000 IDR, which I paid because of the situation, but I didn’t feel it was fair since the change wasn’t my choice. The private room was much better, cleaner and more welcoming, but in the morning there was no water to wash, they fixed it quickly but it was already too late for me. Also it was full of mosquitoes because the rooms weren’t well isolated.

No one was at the front desk when I arrived, and my texts on the booking platform got no response; I then tried WhatsApp and was told to just unlock the door and enter. A room that had been smoked in gave me a headache, and the door had no lock, so I felt unsafe and left straight away for another hostel.
